Ernest Lewis

Ernie Lewis, serves as the Senior Vice President for Business Strategy at BCG. His focus is on enabling interoperability and enhanced visibility across the distribution and transmission domains of Electric, Gas and Water Utilities. Supporting significant business transformation, across the business as they grapple with Utility Modernization. He has over 25 years executive leadership experience working for a fortune 100, large electric utility in the United States. In addition, he held multiple leadership roles in his 8 year career at Verizon, as he continued to focus on the convergence of advanced communications into the Grid Modernization efforts of the Energy & Utilities Industry including helping develop a 10 Year Telecommunications Strategy for a progressive IOU.

Ernie worked at Southern California Edison where led a variety of organizations in the lines of business, culminating as an Executive Director for the end to end revenue process. He then transitioned to IT where h e has designed, developed, and delivered a variety of business and technology solutions related to, among others, utility operations, energy efficiency, regulatory compliance, business continuity management, Outage Management systems, Call Center Optimization Systems, People Management Systems, IT Infrastructure Cost reduction projects and a host of Utility related strategy, process and performance improvement, initiatives. This included providing Corporate Project (Technology) Governance processes and Enterprise PMO support for his utility clients. While there, Ernie also developed a world class Project Management Center of Excellence, including a certification program in partnership with the University of California Irvine.
